Diabetes in dogs used to be so rare that vets struggled with how to handle it yet it is now common place and increasing year in year out. There can be no other explanation for this increase in diabetic dogs other than what is fed to the dog and by how much. Sugar, in one form or another is included in many dog foods simply to make it more tasty so the companies sell more of it.
