Making the connection between diet and health is not an easy one but if we think about how the consumption of a bottle of wine (or two) has on the body. It is not long before our coordination goes, our balance is impaired as is our judgement. The daily routine of too much salt or sugar in our diet on the other hand can take years to show up and over time for it to happen is so long that the correlation is all but forgotten. At Land of Holistic Pets we take 4 main issues into consideration when formulating a diet. 1. Quality of the Ingredients and the impact of processing - whole unrefined as compared to highly refined ingredients 2. Thermal nature of the ingredients - if the warm, cool, dry or create damp conditions in the body 3. Acid/alkaline impact on the body - most diets are extremely acidic - it beginning to be recognised that disease thrives in over acidic conditions 4. Excesses and deficiencies - too much protein, fat, salt and sugar all lead to degenerative conditions. All our diet are formulated taking into account the above conditions but also how each ingredients interacts with each other - as the saying goes, the sum of the parts is greater than the whole
